Our goal at Ross Michaels is to make your visit an educational, informative and relaxing one. In order to provide an outstanding experience for you here are a few things that you can expect when visiting us for the first time.
All new clients are required to have a
Ross Michaels Intro (consultation)
prior to scheduling any color or lightening service.
Why am I required to have a RM Intro consultation?
The consultation is beneficial to you as a client as well as for your future stylist. It allows us to get pertinent information to ensure we are providing you with the best service possible. The consultation not only allows time for you to navigate directions to the salon so that you are on time for your actual appointment but it also allows you to meet our staff and see our salon. This is a great time for you to get information on the products and services we offer as well as communicate your wants and needs in reference to your hair. The consultation allows us to see your hair, have in depth conversations about your current hair care regimen and allows us to make sure we are able to provide you with the services you are looking for. A mandatory test strand and consent form must be done prior to an appointment.

Why can’t I have a RM Intro consultation and service done on the same day?
Everyone’s hair is different and we can never be quite sure how long your service will take without seeing your hair prior to your appointment. We pride ourselves on providing prompt service so the consultation prior to the appointment prevents wasted time for both the client and the stylist. We want to ensure we can provide the service you need. By scheduling the consultation and service on the same day, there is the possibility that we book you for a service that you are unable to receive or that the service we schedule you for takes longer than anticipated and puts us behind schedule for the client that is being serviced after you. To ensure that your experience is exceptional it has proven throughout our years of experience that it is best to schedule the consultation as a separate appointment.
What if I live out of State? How can I get an Ross Michaels Intro?
1.AT THIS TIME WE DO NOT OFFER VIRTUAL CONSULTATIONS.
2.A mandatory in-salon strand test is required before scheduling any service.
Strand tests are used to ensure that the hair will respond properly to the processes planned, and won't result in irreparable damage to the hair. It's also important when the stylist cannot be certain what other colors or chemicals have been used on the hair in the past.
3.Getting the desired target lightness or shade may require multiple appointments. Typically, multi-session colors are are scheduled 2-3 weeks apart.
4.The salon has great success achieving most people's goals. But, there will always be a possibility that the desired lightness/color may never be achieved at all.
